Effective June 3, 2020, Texas Governor Abbott announced the State of Texas Phase III Reopening Plan – non-essential manufacturing facilities may operate up to 50% of the facility’s total listed occupancy. Our California facility currently remains in Stage 2: Lower-risk workplaces.
We are using guidance from the CDC and our state authorities to ensure that increasing to 50% capacity remains safe for co-workers and customers within the context of our local COVID-19 situation. Unfortunately, during the time of full closure, some of our workers left our services for a variety of reasons – mostly hardship. To adapt to this situation, we've started hiring new workers while making more changes to our factory operations to ensure their personal safety. For the time being, we will still be operating at a lower percentage until the new and/or returning co-workers can be trained and our safety measures remain optimal as we regrow our small business.
Our operations will now follow these guidelines:
- All office-based co-workers will continue working from home Monday–Friday while only select Texas co-workers are allowed to work in-office at 50% capacity while maintaining social distancing protocol.
- Customer Service co-workers will be available Monday–Friday on limited hours to assist you.
- Domestic factory co-workers are working Monday-Friday at reduced capacity until more staff return to work. Co-workers will maintain 6 feet of separation between individuals and wear PPE.
- Warehouse staff, who fulfill your orders, continue to have reduced capacity until more staff return to work. Co-workers will maintain 6 feet of separation between individuals and wear PPE. Domestic and International order continue to ship at our - state policy imposed - restricted rate and we ask for your continued patience.
We are continuing to evaluate the needs of our business today while protecting our co-workers now and in the future. As soon as the situation improves, we hope to gradually resume full manufacturing and fulfillment operations so we can make it through this crisis together – and re-emerge stronger than before.
